Rice Export to UAE from India
Kumud Group has been exporting rice from India since 1994, running two mills at Sandi Chungi, Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh and Village Nariana, Taraori, Karnal in Haryana, part of India’s GI-certified basmati growing belt. Rice from these mills currently reaches buyers in 30+ countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The UAE is one of the largest rice import markets in the Gulf, and Basmati holds a firm lead in the premium segment there because of its long grain and natural aroma. Basmati rice dominates premium segments due to its long grains and natural aroma. For importers, retailers, and food service buyers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and the other emirates, Kumud Group supplies Basmati and Non-Basmati rice in bulk with documentation and packaging built around what UAE buyers actually need to clear customs and stock shelves.

Packaging and Shipping to Qatar
Packaging Options
Kumud Group packs rice from 500g retail pouches up to 50kg bulk bags, so the same order can cover both a supermarket private label run and a wholesale sack order. Custom private label packaging is available for UAE importers who want their own brand name, Arabic-English bilingual labeling, and design on the pack rather than a generic export label.
Shipping and Minimum Order Quantity
Orders start at 20-21 MT, a full container load, which keeps freight costs to the UAE reasonable per ton. We work with freight forwarders experienced in Gulf-bound shipments and can advise on transit times to major UAE ports once we know your delivery emirate. If you need a landed cost estimate for a specific port, share the destination and we’ll work it out with the current freight rate.
FAQs
Q1: Does Kumud Group supply Halal-certified rice to UAE buyers?
Ans: Yes. Our rice is Halal certified alongside international food safety certification. We’re finalizing the certificate details (issuing body and numbers) with our documentation team so buyers can verify them directly before placing an order.
Q2: What is the minimum order quantity for UAE orders?
Ans: 20-21 MT, which is one container load. This applies across both Basmati and Non-Basmati varieties.
Q3: Can Kumud Group pack rice under our own brand name for the UAE market?
Ans: Yes. We offer private label packaging with your brand name and design, in pack sizes from 500g to 50kg, so you can sell under your own label rather than ours.
Q4: What documents come with a rice shipment to the UAE?
Ans: Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, health certificate, halal certificate, pesticide residue test certificate, and bill of lading.
