The Sona Masoori steam rice is about 5.3 mm long in length. It is low in starch. This medium-grain rice is aromatic and excellent for the preparation of Indian and continental cuisine. The rice is softer than other white rice and has a distinctive flavour and taste. The paddy is processed and steamed to change the properties of the rice. This process makes the rice non-sticky and brings out its exceptional flavour. Rice is best consumed when it is hot.
